I am posting on this forum as my inquiry is more general than specific.
I have been sporadically viewing LDS film # 0654983 - "Registro Parroquiales - San Juan Bautiista, Sombrerete, Zacatecas: Matrimonios, 1793-1854". My original search was to find marriage information for Julio Duenas (~ over the n) and Maria Guadalupe Duran. The record shows that they were married on 29 May 1853. Julio (b. about 1831) was the son of Victor Duenas and Manuela Gutierrez. Ma. Guadalupe was the daughter of Don Luis Duran and Dona (~ over the n) Lorenza Rodriguiz.

John, once you create an account and view the photos, will you be able to add captions so that we know who's who? That would really be nice, to know who's in each picture and we can see the people from Nuestros Ranchos.

I have find an interesting data in the familysearch site, it contains records from 1723 to 1866,
Source Call No. 1151102, Batch M602335, Marriages and Births, the place is San Diego De Alejandría, Jal.

Hello to all!

I just got back from Guadalajara. I was not able to attend the Valle de Guadalupe meeting because my uncle was very ill so I went straight to Guadalajara. Not all was lost. He told me that my GGGG Grandfather, Calisto Samaniego born around 1820, probably in Juchipila, was a priest that left the priesthood to marry/be with Lina Salazar, my GGGG Grandmother. I descend from his son Jesus Samaniego and Cayetana Castaneda. Any idea on how I can get started solving this mystery? I can't find any other info on him/Lina.
