Does anyone else have text display errors when receiving emails that contain letters with accent marks?

The above title can be found under reference material. It has dates and names of Testaments of various vecinos de San Luis Potosi, 1600. there are about 10 of them.

Anyone familiar with ambrotype photography that was suppose to be used during mid 1800's? Is there a collection or database of photos there?
