My name is Lisa Gonzalez, I live in Antioch California. I am researching my mother's side of the family; the Lopez and the Martinez families from Rancho Lo de Carrera, Tenayuca, Zacatecas. Most legal filings were made in Apulco, the nearest "big town."

Does anyone know where this surname comes from? I know it's not Spain. I found it in several French genealogies as ROLIN. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

I have ancestors from San Miguel El Alto & Jalostotitlan too. I
have found that sometimes I find them in Jalostotitlan records and
vice-a-versa. You might look into Jalostotitlan for that time period.
