Antonio de Mata y Rebollar is my Maternal (Martinez/Pena) 6th Great Grandfather. He was born about 1674. He married Rosa de Santos on 15 April 1695 in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico.

I have been researching the Jerez area for some time. As I have found in many parts of my family, the intermarriage between families is breath-taking and predictable.

In talking to our older relatives, we heard comments that there were Land Grants given to families from Spain (hundreds of years ago) for land in Mexico, including Jalisco.
