Question regarding Sagrario de Zacatecas

By rojasdelgado - Posted on 13 December 2014

Is anyone familiar with Sagrario de Zacatecas??? What towns belonged to this parish in the early 1600-1700's. Also, why did it change names to Iglesia de Santo Domingo in the later colonial years.

Is it similar to Archdiocese de Guadalajara???

I noticed their records go back to as early as 1605. In their "Baptism" records were "Marriages" mixed in.

Also, under "Marriages 1712-1753" were important legal documents with seals that date back to as early as 1634. Some of these documents mention, "Capitanes" "Minas" "Duque de Alburque" These legal documents begin on image 404 and continue for about 100 pages.

Does anyone know what this documents are that would require 3-4 seals???

Thanks
