  Elvira, Have you tried going to the Family Search Catalog?  click on 'keywords' then put what you are looking for in the box.  [Tamez or Tames]

Hello, Everyone!

Can someone give information or contacts with people doing research on the Tamez/Tames families from Nuevo Leon?
I understand some books about the last name have been published but cannot locate any of them. Can anyone point me in the right direction here as I have no publisher or name of authors but have only heard about the books existing.

Also, does anyone know for sure the origin of the last name?  So far all I have found says its either Jewish or Arabic.
