I need help with confusing marriage record for de la Torre-Romero
Thank you all for your help and insights concerning the marriage record for Jose de la Torre and Maria Elena Romero. I agree the record must be in error regarding Dionicio Martin and Paula Saldana. Jose's parents are Antonio de la Torre and Carmen Padilla. No where else in either my Romero family nor my de la Torre family are Dionicio Martin and Paula Saldana mentioned. All the other records say his parents are Antonio de la Torre and Carmen Padilla or Maria del Carmen Padilla. I have yet to find Jose's birth record in Tepatitlan. I have no clue if he came from another city.
Please forgive my late response for all your help. Because I research alone and do not speak Spanish, my research is slow, so it took me a while to check out all the suggestions. Thank you again for all your help and suggestions.

> I am thoroughly confused by the marriage record of my ggrandfather Jose de la Torre to my ggrandmother Maria Elena Romero.? They were married Feb. 4, 1880 in San Francisco de Asis, Tepatitlan de Morelos, Jalisco.? The record can be found in the 1876-1881 Matrimonios, image 329, bottom right side in FamilySearch.org.? It states that Jose de la Torre is the widower of Feliciana Romero.? In his marriage record to Feliciana Romero, his parents are recorded as Antonio de la Torre and Carmen Padilla.? In his marriage record to Elena Romero, his parents are recorded as Dionicio Martin and Paula Saldana.? Who are Dionicio Martin and Paula Saldana?? What don?t I understand?? Will someone who can read Spanish please explain what I am missing?
