Old Genealogy files

I would like to start by saying that this is not an advertisement even though it may sound like one. I just want to share a valuable service with all.
I thought I hit the "mother lode" when a cousin called to say he was sending me the genealogy files of an aunt who has passed. I was beyond disappointed and frustrated that the files were on a 3.5" disc AND they were created on Expert Personal Roots and not in a format that is readable by current software. Old
versions are no longer sold and numerous message boards told me I was just
out of luck. I equate it to being handed a treausre chest but no key. By accident I came across this web site www.jigrah.co.uk. He has old computers for old disks AND he has a number of out of date genealogy software programs that he can convert to GED files. I was able to e-mail my files to him and the turn around time was less than 24 hours. He'll check for corrupted files and send you a quote before doing anything. His prices are not too bad. He uses paypal which converts US dollars to pounds (he's in England)and keeps your personal info from someone halfway around the world. Now I have the information on about 200 new family members that I have to sift through. Priceless!
