I guess the answer to your question depends on the software that you are using. I use an online database called The Next Generation that allows you to enter the "DE" or "DE LOS" or "DE LA" in a seperate field from the main surname such that when you search or sort by surname these are not taken into account.

When I import the GEDCOM from this software into PAF, I get the same problem that you do... a bunch of people end up under the letter "D" and I forget to look for them there.

There are some interesting entries in the familysearch website for potential matches to the family you are looking for. The mother's surname does not match, but that is not as uncommon as you may think.

Hi, Mu name is Monica Medina, i'm mexican currently living in
Montpellier, France.

I've started my genealogical research and I have roots in Zacatecas,
this are the names:

Ines de la Rosa Sandoval (my greatgrand mother) was daugther of Juan
de la Rosa and Narcisa Sandoval. They come from Fresnillo, Zacatecas
I haven't found more information on dates, but I keep on researching.

Also, for the family of my mom I know that Ontiveros surname comes

The RSVP deadline (the 15th) is looming for the first Southern
California Ranchos Meeting. You still have an opportunity to
