Los Garabatos in Tepatitlan

While researching my Salazar family from the Tepatitlan area, I am starting to notice several of them living in a place called Los Garabatos.

Help with two names.

Luciano Lomellini

Luciano Lomellini is named in a will of his brother Napoleone Lomellini in 1587.

They are the sons of Paolo Vincenzo Lomellini and Caterina Spinola

No Grandparents Included

For the most part, the baptism records from the early 1700's do not include the name of Grandparents. Does anyone know what's the best way to continue finding the family lineage?

Does anyone know if there is a repository for old newspapers in Mexico. I know here in the US you can go to your local libraries to find microfilmed copies of old newspaper articles.
