Gutierrez from Jalos

Hi Everyone.

My name is Mario Gutierrez, and I am interested in researching genealogy information on my paternal side (Gutierrez); as well as looking into leads from my grandmother's (Maria del Refugio Romero born in Sombrerete, Zacatecas) side of the family.

My Grandfather was Jose Genovevo Gutierrez. My family says he was born in Jalostitlan on January 3, 1872. His parents were Albino Gutierrez and Amada Guerrero. From what I have found, I was able to connect an Albino Gutierrez and Amada Guerrero as the indicated parents of Jose Genovevo Gutierrez

I found possible information on my grandfather (Jose Genovevo Gutierrez) being baptized on January 6, 1884 in Jalostotitlan according to FHL Film Number 279275.

Other information that might connect Jose Genovevo Gutierrez with his parents is: a marriage between an Albino Gutierrez and Amada Guerrerro on February 23, 1876 at Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion in Jalostotitlan as per FHL Film Number: 279306. That same film citation places Albino's birth year as 1855.

My grandfather (Jose Genovevo) worked in the railroad in Aguascalientes before immigrating to the United States to work for the Santa Fe railroad. He settled in El Paso, Texas.
