Real y Minas de San Joaquin? Fregoso? Hijar Bracamonte?

I'm looking at the parish records of Guachinango, Jalisco. Some of the older entries and books belong to a place called Real y Minas de San Joaquin. I'm not very familiar with the geography of this area. Is there a place around Guachinango or Mascota named San Joaquin? I understand that there used to be a mine in Guachinango, but I haven't been able to locate San Joaquin.

My ancestors Simon Thadeo Fregoso and Maria Margarita de Barreda married there on February 9, 1765. Simon's parents were Domingo Fregoso and Beatriz de Hijar Bracamonte from this parish. Margarita's parents were Antonio de Barreda and Margarita Navarro from Ayo el Chico.

I wonder if Simon Fregoso has any relationship to the Chavez Fregoso from los Altos. I googled Hijar Bracamonte and I'm learning the story of this family and how it began with first conquistadores of Nueva Galicia. Now I just need to find the link between my Beatriz and the Hijar Bracamonte from the history books.
