Dear Nuestros Rancheros members,

I am pleased to become a member of this research group, and I appreciate in advance any assistance you can offer. A special thanks to Joseph for hosting.

I am finally getting around to researching my great-grandmother’s parents (my nana’s mother)—YSIDRO CRUZ (son of Abraham Cruz and Romualda Montejano) from the four corners--San Luis Potosi, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Zacateas--and REGINA LOPEZ who I know absolutely nothing about. Ysidro Cruz and Regina Cruz (not his first spouse) married sometime after 1884 most likely in Mexico. The family moved to El Paso, Texas by about 1888.

I am determined to find out more about Regina Lopez and to dig deeper into the ancestry of Ysidro Cruz.

Also, I live in Thousand Oaks, California, but I am originally from Santa Barbara. I have access to the Santa Barbara Mission Archive Library--I visit about once a month if anyone needs a quick look-up.

Thank you,

Jonathan Cordero
