What do we do when we find that, for example, the parents named in one document are entirely different from those in another (I don't mean the difference between Jose and Josef, but entirely different people). I have a couple, Jose Vicente Gomes and Maria Joaquina Franco, who when they married gave there parents' names as: Groom: Francisco Gregorio Gomez and Maria Antonio Martin del Campo Bride: Manuel Julian Jimenez and Gertrudes Garcia de Alba

Recently I found a baptism for their child which mentions the grandparents as:
Paternal: Vicente Gomez and Anna Maria Garcia de Alba
Maternal: Blas Franco and Angela Baldivia

Any suggestions?
