Catarina Romo, Fermin de Medina, Jose Vicente Francozo, Matias Francozo

Hi

I am sifting though images still looking for the elusive Romos (Raphael, Raphaela, and son Manuel). Sometimes I come across a Romo and then I cross check to see if the name has ever been mentioned her in NR. If not, then I post it on the chance that someday someone may need that info - or maybe there is someone out there already needing it.

Catarina Romo:

She shows up as padrina for Jose Vicente, español, legitimate son of Matias Francozo and Anna Gertrudis, natives of this town (Aguascalientes), padrinos were Fermin de Medina and Catalina Romo...

There was no note of Don or Doña.

Mexico, Catholic Church Records, Aguasc, Aguasc, Sagrario, Baptisms 1781 - 86, image 180.

I searched the name Francozo (Francoso) in IGI because I'd never seen it before (but then I am new at this), and found out that there were many in the Aguasc area and also Guanajuato, and one hit in Enc de Diaz. The earliest Francoso in Mexico in IGI was in 1690 in Tacubaya (Mexico City). At that time it was a beautiful area where viceroys and other families of wealth and prominence had their second homes. (From Wikipedia, article on the "start" quality scale, but it does include references to academic articles)
