Greetings from the new girl...
I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Marylouise Fraijo Ambriz. I just started researching my maternal grandmother's side of the family. This has been quite tasking since my greatgrandmother rarely spoke of her family. What I have found out is my maternal grandmother, Guadalupe Diaz, was born in Bahia de Santa Barbara, AguasCalientes on 12 Feb of 1912. She was the last child of Maria Luisa (my namesake) Gonzalez and Ignacio De Luna. Ignacio was killed in the Revolution before my grandma was born. Maria Luisa married Liborio Diaz before arriving to America in 1913. All I know about Liborio is that he was also from AguasCalientes.
Maria Luisa was also born in AguasCalientes on 23 June 1886 to Norberta Macias and Pablo Gonzalez. Norberta and Pablo were married at El Sagrario, Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico on 8 July 1885.
My GGgrandmother, Norberta Macias, was born June of 1864 in Palo-Alto, AguasCalientes to Guadalupe Macias and Tomasa Esparza. They were married on 22 September 1844 in Inmaculada Concepción, Ciénega De Mata, Jalisco, Mexico. They also had seven other children.
Maria Pauline Macias1845 Palo Alto, AguasCalientes
Lucia Macias 1846 Palo Alto, AguasCalientes
Jose Lucas Macias 1847 Palo Altos, AguasCalientes
Vidal Macias 1851
Eufemia Macias 1853
Plutarco Macias 1856
Sotero Macias 1860
From stories by family members, Norberta was married two other times and died in child birth.
My GGgrandfather Pablo Gonzalez was born 7 June 1857 in AguasCalientes to Sostenes Gonzalez and Mariana Gutierrez. They were married at El Sagrario, AguasCalientes, AguasCalientes, Mex on 30 October 1849.
Pablo's father, Sostenes was born in a rancho de Santa Anna, Jalostotitlan, Mex about 1819 to Candelario Gonzalez and Juane del Socorro Gonzalez. Pablo's mother, Mariana was born about 1834 in del rancho del ojo de Agua. I am cluess as to where that is. Her parents are Ysidoro Gutierrez and Francisca Hermosilla.
I am still hoping to find out more about my grandma's father Ignacio De Luna. Are Mexico Military records accesible? I am also hoping to find out about my grandma's step father, Liborio Diaz. Although he raised my grandma and her siblings like his own, his past is a mystery.
I'm very glad I have been allowed to be a part of this group. I still have so much to learn and I know I will benefit greatly from everyone's knowledge.
