Dear friends and primos:

Texas' celebration of its declaration of independence and eventual
absorption into the United States 175th years ago is being recognition by a
full year of many activities, articles, and activism. Even if you do not
have Texas heritage, what happened in Texas affected the development of the
entire nation.

You'll all enjoy the special feature on the Latino History Baseball
Project. Our involvement in the all-American sport of baseball will
hopefully chip away at some preconceived ideas of what Mexican Americans
did and do in their spare time.

Thank you all for sharing an abundance of great information. We all
appreciate you.

God bless, Mimi
