Breakthrough, now a question
Dear Friends,
I had a brickwall in Jalpa with Jose Maria Gonzalez (JMG Jr) and his wife Julia Casillas.
I found genealogy trees in the Informacion Matrimoniales (IMs) for Jalpa and discovered that the mother of JMG was Petra Eledesma and his father was Jose Maria Gonzalez (JMG Sr). Petra's father was Estevan Eledesma according to the genealogical tree. You can find a JPEG of these tree (TroncoJMG.jpg) in my Files. I found a wedding for a "Estevan Eledesma" in Tabasco (April 16, 1792).
I am pretty sure that this wedding refers to the father or, more likely, brother of Petra as I don't know Petra's mother's name from the IMs.
Does anyone have any information on Estevan Eledesma?
I had a hard time reading the wedding record for him. I couldn't figure out some of the abbreviations and names. You can find the entry in the upper-left hand corner:

I'm uncertain about the following, but these are the details I was able to read:
"a Esteven Eledesma con Maria Simona dela Guera??. P?? Jose Freto?? y Maria Antta. Testigos Juan Lu?iano y Carmen Megia?"
I thought that "Guera" might also be an abbreviation for "Guanusco".
Saludos y prospero año nuevo,
Arturo
