research for locations

Today I found a marriage record that reminded me how it takes more than one record to have accurate information abt locations especially if you take the info from what's online.

I know when I was working on family records from Tamazula Jalisco I found a batch online that said they were born in San Vicent, Carribean but in reality it was San Vicente, a barrio in Jalisco.

I just came across another place I'm hoping the group can help with. The marriage record reads:

marriage 7 Nov 1838 in Monte Escobedo
Jose Ysidro Minjares age 25 from El Rancho del Pino
parents: Visente Minjares and Tecla Sanches
spouse: Maria de Jesus Bermudes age17 from San Jose de la Trinidad Tobago Carribean
source: 1158237 Monte Escobedo marriage record

Has anyone else found the Carribean to be a correct place during this time period?

The other records associated with this family also say they are from Agua Zarca, some read Guanajuato and others Agua Zarca, Zacatecas. Are any of you familiar with which is correct?

thanks for the help to make my records accurate
