Hi Maria, I too am searching Guanajuato: anyone who is searching alteno genealogy will connect to Guanajuato.Guanajuato is as alteno as Los Altos de Jalisco, due to the rapid immigration and intermarriage that took placemostly Western Gto is considered part of the alteno family.

My wifes great great grandfather moved from  gto to los altos his name was marcelo gutierrez infante. He left many descendents in san miguel el alto.  He married 3 times and had children with all 3 wives.
