You forgot part of the history where on the order of Onate, Vicente Zaldivar bushwhacked my ancestor
Alonso ALbernoz de Sosa. De Sosa had asked Onate for permission to return to Mexico.
The people became very afraid of Onate's dictatorship and his ruthless ness. While most of the soldiers
in the company were on a foraging expedition, th ose disgruntled with Onate left New Mexico. In this group was the widow of Alonso Albernoz de Sosa, Beatriz Rodriguez Navarro, her children, and
her new husband Captain Bernabe de la Casas. THe group reported to Zacatecas where they told the authorities of Onate's atrocities. The people who fled were pardoned. Beatriz and her family moved to
Saltillo, Coahuila with her father, Juan Navarro Rodriguez. The granddaughter of Beatriz and ALonso
married Vicente Zaldivar, a descendant of Vicente de Zald
