Zacatecas on film

By nc_coleman - Posted on 16 June 2006

I am aware that the following films were filmed in
Zacatecas:
"The Cisco Kid" (the one with Jimmy Smits and Cheech
Marin);
"The Old Gringo" (Gregory Peck, Jane Fonda - ?? - I
can't remember for sure)
They both have scenes featuring the Cathedral in the
city of Zacatecas.
What other films have been filmed in Zacatecas?

Speaking of film - I grew up in Los Angeles, and when
I was young (5-10 yrs of age) we would go once or
twice a month to see Mexican movies at a theater in
downtown L.A. (I think it was called the Million
Dollar) - this was in the 40's. That was when Mexico
had a film industry. My favorites were the films of
Jorge Negrete and the ones of Cantinflas. Anyone else
ever go see the Mexican movies??

Hey - Y'all have a grand weekend - Happy Father's Day
to you father's out there.

Natalie
